Neuroscience special: Outside In
Inspired by the diverse functions of biological neurotransmitters and the animation Inside Out, this project intends to personify seven imaginary characters that walked through my mind while studying neuroscience in biology class. Transforming neurological functions of each molecule into specific superpower and postures, from the reward stimulating effect and executive role of dopamine to the pain-stimulating power of substance P, I depicted each molecule as an individual member of my “brain agent company” according to their unique identities. Whether it is a machine-controlling commander or an empowered spy, bridging scientific background with artistic representations, I hope my “Outside In” brain agents can bring abstract, esoteric scientific concepts to real life using visual language.
